* Faces of Katrina exhibit, Fall of 06: Jerry Davenport and Robert Trudeau discover a common interest in second lining and New Orleans heritage.
* Discussions with Jerry and Tarama on the creation of a marching society, a long-held dream of Trudeau's.
* Announcement of the krewe founding at Michael Parker's Culture Jam Breakfast is covered by my friend John Andrew Prime of the Times (story & photo). Columbia Cafe proprietor and Krewe of Highland founder Matthew Linn attends announcement and offers to add B & N to the insurance & police umbrella established by the K of H.
* First meeting at Columbia cafe. Sheri Underwood signs up, followed by Bruce Flett. Then Marion Marks, etc.
* Times story on newest krewe in town, B & N, appears with huge photo in Dec 31 carnival krewe overview.
* Jan 6 luncheon at Brother's Seafood.
* Jan 24, 07: Bruce Flett finds the Red & Black Brass band at Grambling; Flett prepares contract for B&N.
